About the role:

This role will manage the overall administration of the 401(k) Plan, leave of absence function, M&A and other relevant benefits work.

About the team:

This role at FIS is part of a high-functioning Total Rewards team that includes Benefits, Compensation and Equity. The Total Rewards team partners with business leaders and The People Office to provide best-in-class programs that are critical to offering a competitive benefits package for our colleagues.

What you will be doing:
Ultimate responsibility for design, communication, administration and legal compliance of the FIS and Puerto Rico 401(k) Plans

  • Manage and administer Group Plans Committee Meetings
    • Finalize agenda
    • Lead meetings
    • Develop 401(k) agenda items and present during the meeting
    • Prepare meeting minutes
  • Filing of 401(k) Plan 5500s
  • Management, evaluation and resolution of 401(k) escalated issues
  • Approve funding for Puerto Rico 401(k) Plan
  • Review 401(k) Plan invoices and approve for payment
  • Manage and participate in 401(k) Plan annual audits
  • Ensure compliance with 401(k) Plan rules and federal regulations
  • Ultimate responsibility for leave of absence management including FMLA, Company Leaves, State Paid Leaves and coordination with FIS pay practices
  • Partners with US Benefits Director on M&A work, including analysis and communications
  • Ensures 401(k) and leave of absence programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs
  • Manages a team of four individuals who administer the day to day operations of the 401(k) Plan and Leave of Absence functions to ensure timely, accurate and efficient operation.
  • Researches competitive practices and analyzes data to evaluate benefit program metrics.
  • Reviews and interprets legislative requirements for all plans.
  • Responsible for updates to the plan documents and summary plan descriptions.
  • Leverages technology to simplify internal processes, minimize paperwork and limit delays in processing.
  • Actively participates in professional associations to stay abreast of industry related activities. Shares relevant knowledge and information with benefits team, HR department and any other appropriate parties.

What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in business or human resources or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. PHR designation preferred.

* Familiarity with group health and retirement benefits
* Working knowledge of legal requirements related to the administration of employee benefits and 401K
* Demonstrated influence and partnering skills (with Field HR, Legal, vendor relationships)
* Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
* Oral and written communication skills relating to all management levels, vendors and plan participants
* Ability to work in a team environment
