JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Director of Global Program Management, Manufacturing

Position: Full Time/Exempt

Location: North America, Corporate/Remote

Manager: No

Reports to: VP of Program Management & CSR

SUMMARY OF ROLE: ***THIS IS NOT AN IT/SOFTWARE/FINANCE/HEALTHCARE ROLE****

This role will establish, grow and continuously improve a PMO discipline to facilitate the success of cross-functional strategic initiatives and align program management strategies with overall company goals. This person's responsibility includes the coordination of strategy and activities with other senior leaders across the business to maximize performance and efficient utilization of resources to help the business in achieving its strategic objectives. A deep expertise in implementing development processes to drive team execution and meet business goals within a manufacturing industry is critical.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead program management deliverables in accordance with the business's strategic plans and objectives.
  • Establish a framework that incorporates setting and tracking goals to enable effective resource allocation and value realization across the business's strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure deliverables are achieved including financial, customer, quality, EHS and timeline targets by establishing a project governance structure and take full responsibility of each program from 'conception through industrialization'.
  • Centralize information and deliver to the right stakeholders providing overall progress and health of projects; status of milestones/tollgates and deliverables; financial information about the budget, forecast, actuals, margins; project risks and progress on mitigating these risks; operational efficiency and project performance; and effective management and utilization of enterprise resources.
  • Collaborate across all functions/departments to participate in the required planning, implementation & execution phases of each program.
  • Plan and schedule resources efficiently to ensure that the right resources are allocated to the right projects at the right time while creating visibility of resource capacity, competency and availability for all stakeholders and overcoming challenges of a matrix structure.
  • Enable team efficiency by facilitating knowledge transfers between departmental project teams.
  • Ensure that there is an efficient framework for seamless team collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Audit standards, processes, and procedures to drive for uniformity throughout the functions and regions to assure conformance to standards
  • Perform all other appropriate duties as assigned by management.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5 - 10 years of related experience required-Plastics Manufacturing preferred
  • Degreed in Plastics Engineering or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive project teams towards required outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently with general guidance and direction from all levels of management
  • Strong budget and financial management.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills appropriate to managing the flow of information in support of decision-making at the highest management levels of the organization.
