Dealer Floor Plan Examiner

The Dealer Floor Plan Examiner role will be responsible for performing floor plan audits, which evaluate the collateral for these new auto floorplan loans in-order to assist in preventing losses. The individual will perform timely audits of dealership inventory and related dealership records and keep National Dealer Commercial Services management properly informed. This is not a work from home position. The role will be based out of Salt Lake City (SLC) area which will include traveling to neighboring states.

PLEASE NOTE: This position will be based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The individual will work with clients and dealerships in this area, Albuquerque, and Las Vegas. Travel is required daily as the individual will be working on-site at dealerships daily.

Position Responsibilities:



  • Prepare management reports based on the following responsibilities.
  • Physical inspection of the Bank's vehicle collateral; noting condition, if necessary and changes in status.
  • Audit of dealership records to identify sale, cash receipt and finance information needed to analyze the customer's compliance in-regards to the Bank's loan policy.
  • Reconciliation of inventory which is not seen, or identified as sold, and noting its likely location based on the dealership's internal documentation.
  • Reconcile Dealer exceptions appearing on the audit listing in-order to assist the customer and Dealer Operations.
  • Observe the overall condition of the dealership operation and report to management any unusual items or areas of concern.
  • Serve as primary liaison between the Bank and the customer. Provide quality customer service while interacting with the owners and operators of the auto dealerships.
  • Generate computer reports detailing audit results which are distributed to management and serve as the basis for credit decisions.
  • Review and educate Dealer personnel on Bank audit reports and other Bank generated documents that can be used as a tool for the customer.
  • Schedule and coordinate multiple concurrent audits while traveling extensively and complying with credit policy frequency standards. Can make changes at a moment's notice in order to better serve Loan Group.
  • On-going communication with Loan Group and Credit Administration. Train new lenders on the overall floor plan audit product.
  • Consult with the Loan Group regarding irregular audit results, changes in Dealer management and maintain on going communication for high risk audits. Assist in the investigation and management of problem credits. Participate in special projects and requests by the Loan Group.
  • Assist with training of new Dealer Audit employees.
  • Assist Floorplan manager and ADFA manager with lease audits.


Travel



  • Up to to 50%-60% of regional travel is required and maybe for up to 1-5 a day's a week.


Position Qualifications



  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • 2 years of experience in banking or financial services industry
  • 1 year of experience in inventory auditing/management
  • 1 year of experience in Auto industry
  • 1 year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products including, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Be able to lift to 40 LBS -50 LBS at times
  • Will be at a different customer site each day
  • Be willing to be outside at customer site to count inventory
