As a Regional Manager, SLED you will be the sales leader to multiple Client teams and sales professionals across City government, K-12 and Higher Education in New York City (NYC). This position will be focused on managing a dedicated SLED sales team representing WWT's core capabilities (Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy). This leadership role will also require strong business acumen in order to create business strategies, evaluate potential outcomes and drive overall successful business operations for the SLED NYC territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Sales professionals who are responsible for executing WWT's core capabilities (Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy) that is matched to the mission of NYC government and education.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, situational coaching and mentoring to sales professionals and other team stakeholders for high performance and success with short and long-term objectives.
  • Effectively and regularly communicates to senior management how you execute an annual plan including growth strategies that align to measurable goals and objectives and tracks progress accordingly with monthly forecasts, quarterly business reviews, and weekly activities.
  • Steward of good business and fiscal management to maximize results while actively managing costs and impactful investments.
  • Leverage the WWT Platform and our Advance Technology Center as a cornerstone to your market growth strategy.
  • Recruit, develop and retain top talent using WWT Core Values and the Public Sector Sales mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with other key functional stakeholders including Sales, Services, Legal and Contracts, Business Development, Sales Operations, Technical Architects and Consulting Systems Engineering to construct high performing teams focused on customer delight.
  • Collaborate with business development for program pursuit and capture in key markets and verticals
  • Build and promote the WWT SLED brand and differentiation by effectively teaming with key OEM's and external partners to jointly focus on customer business outcomes
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and drive results within team
  • Oversee the pre-sales process and help drive effective communication between sales and engineering.

Requirements:

  • This position is based in New York City. Candidate needs to live in the NYC Metro area.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of sales management experience within the NYC SLED market, delivering large scale IT solutions: Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategies.
  • A deep understanding and established relationships within the key vertical markets of NYC government and education specific to:
    • NYC elected officials
    • Mayoral agencys and non-mayoral agencies
    • SBS, M/WBE initiatives
    • NYC Budgeting processes
    • Government contracts
  • Established relationships and a history of successfully collaborating with key OEMs such as Cisco, NetApp, Zscaler, AWS, and others.
  • Proven history and ability to promote and sell a balanced portfolio of Product and Services in NYC.
  • Proven experience in working and succeeding within a quota and commission structure.
  • Experience managing and coaching a team of Sales professionals with a proven track record working with leadership and driving business strategies within the SLED sector is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
