Job Overview: FXI is seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to lead our company-wide efforts to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally sustainable workplace. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, operational leadership, and external partners to elevate FXI's EHS standards and performance.



Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS strategy aligned with FXI's business goals.
    • Lead EHS planning initiatives to reduce risks, improve safety, and enhance environmental performance.
  • Policy and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other governing bodies.
    • Establish and maintain company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Culture and Training:
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across all levels of the organization.
    • Oversee the design and delivery of EHS training programs to employees and leadership.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate EHS risks across all facilities and operations.
    • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning to prevent recurrence.
  • Sustainability Initiatives:
    • Drive FXI's sustainability programs, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance FXI's environmental goals and initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Establish and track key EHS performance metrics and benchmarks.
    • Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Leadership:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to EHS team members and operational leaders.
    • Collaborate with site leadership to ensure consistent application of EHS programs across locations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic EHS programs across multiple sites.
  • Experience leading sustainability and environmental stewardship initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are highly desirable.
