The Nurse Supervisor provides support and care to the clients and maintains professional standards of care, following the ANA Code of Ethics. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Nurse Supervisor is responsible for immediate supervision of a wide variety of clinic and infusion functions at the Hillcrest campus, planning and performing direct and indirect nursing interventions, and is responsible for supervising, organizing, planning, assessing and monitoring the medical services provided by UC San Diego Health. The Nurse Supervisor works in conjunction with physicians, nursing leadership, nurses, and other healthcare providers to assure that patients are receiving the best medical, nursing, and psychosocial care possible. The Nurse Supervisor assists in administrative efficiencies through the medical service areas and has frequent independent judgment in monitoring the day-to-day operation of the units with minimal administrative assistance/supervision. While work hours and location may vary due to business needs, the RN Nurse Supervisor can expect a 4/10 work schedule. (Four 10-hour days, with three days off each week.)
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $128,800 - $252,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $61.69 - $120.79 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
