Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Chief Technologist, performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality radiographic images as requested for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist. All duties are performed according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. To meet the staffing needs of the department, as necessary, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the YNHH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location. Qualifications EDUCATION Graduation from an A.M.A.approved Radiologic Technology program. AS degree preferred, but not required with relevant years of experience. EXPERIENCE Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry level standards of routine radiography. RT(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Connecticut State License, and CPR Certification. LICENSURE All certifications for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Connecticut State License, and CPR Certification must be kept current at all times. SPECIAL SKILLS Proficient in routine Radiography CR/Digital imaging techniques, above average knowledge of computer / Pacs applications, and good organizational and communication/customer service skills.
