Job Description

The Corp Sr Manager - Accounting Production is responsible for providing the production operations with accurate financial information, financial analysis, and suggestions to help the Company achieve financial targets. This position will be responsible for multiple production locations and act as the support and backup for the Controller's duties related to the National Product Supply Group.

What your day will look like:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Manage team of accountants
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Builds positive associate morale
  • Ensure financial controls are followed
  • Prepare month end financial close out and monthly reconciliations
  • Create annual budget and periodic forecasts of operating facilities
  • Perform variance analysis to expected results
  • Stand in as the liaison between USD and the production facilities
  • Provide financial analysis as needed
  • Assist Controller on special projects and analyses
  • Act as backup for Controller on the National Product Supply Group (NPSG)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and reporting capabilities
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university in Accounting or Finance; and at least 7 years related experience to include prior supervisory experience required
  • CPA License or ability to obtain CPA License within 3 years from date of hire required
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
  • SAP or other large ERP system experience required
  • SAP SAC, and Power BI experience preferred
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
  • Frequent sitting
  • Repeated typing, sitting, standing
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the Company
  • Cost Accounting experience in Manufacturing environment required
