Overview

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Customer Analyst works closely with Shurtape's Category Management and Sales Teams. This position is designed to provide comprehensive analytical support and insight generation to achieve our retail partners' and Shurtape's key strategies and initiatives. This role will be detail focused, data driven, and will be able to communicate actionable solutions to problems using multiple internal and external data sources within a fast-paced team environment.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Analyze multiple fragmented internal and external data sources, (Syndicated data, Luminate, SAP), to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide detailed reports and presentations to support multiple teams' decision-making processes.
  • Utilize multiple syndicated data sources to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Category Management Team to develop and implement category strategies. This includes market analysis, customer segmentation, and performance tracking.
  • Work with the sales team to provide data-driven insights that support sales initiatives and strategies. This includes analyzing sales performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Engage with various departments, including Marketing, IT, and Customer service, to ensure alignment and support for category and sales initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze available sources (customer feedback, market trends, competitive insights, POS trends, and shopper behavior) to understand needs and preferences. Shape winning strategies by consolidating and presenting insightful and impactful information to stakeholders.
  • Manage and execute projects related to category management and sales support. Ensure timely delivery and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify best practices and trends within the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business, operations management, or related, quantitative fields.
  • 0-1+ years' experience in either retail or consumer product manufacturer environment is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work in front of a laptop or workstation for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional standing, sitting, walking, loading, and lifting (up to 25lbs) supplies and equipment.
  • Schedule flexibility to include weekend and after-hours workload
  • Some travel required to the customer headquarters/stores or off-site offices

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires the ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.
