Summary:
This position will provide leadership and direction for driving system & improvements for SKF Logistics Services. Quality and EHS in the USA and Canada.
We are looking for a Quality & EHS Engineer for our US and CAN operation. This position reports to the QEHS Manager Americas and will be responsible for all facets of quality support to logistics which includes interpretation, execution & adherence to quality processes, procedures and standards.
Drive for Quality and EHS, eager to learn. Motivated to lead SKF colleagues into the QEHS principles.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and promote SKF Business Excellence Programs (BE Culture, Six Sigma, Quality Management and GPM2) to insure continuous improvement at all levels throughout the business unit.
- Manages the development of the Business Units Quality, including but not limited to: Management Review, PESTLEE/SWOT, Internal & external audits.
- Management System (ISO 9001:2015) procedures, documentation, records and training in alignment to the SKF Group Business Process and the SKF Logistics Services Qd following the Qb.
- Quality Complaints management, escalation point for DER and owner of DER optimization projects.
- Six Sigma tools used when needed.
- Management and monitor of KPIs throughout US & CAN.
- Managing and facilitating Lean Six Sigma projects in support of business objectives.
- Develops, recommends, maintains and implements a Quality Management System supporting the strategic plan while ensuring compliance to ISO and SKF Logistics Services Qd & Qb
- Provide expertise in Quality Management, process improvement tools and methods to the other functions of the organization to support them in their continuous improvement activities
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams for driving process improvements using different available tools
- Cultivate a BE (Business Excellence) culture within SKF Logistics Services USA & CAN create a culture ready for change.
- Provide leadership and direction and establish EHS goals and develop the means to monitor, manage and achieve EHS goals and commitments.
- Provides general direction and monitors third party suppliers (Colinx), assigning and monitoring work.
- Provides training to staff when needed.
- Support to EHS programs for AMER logistics region complying with ISO 45001, 14001, 50001 & Eb/Ed.
Requirements:
- Fluent English required, Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 - 2015 standard
- Knowledge of ISO 45001. ISO 14001 & 50001 is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in quality assurance / engineering, or another related field is preferred
- Good analytical, problem solving and organization skills- Root cause analysis skill is a given
- Experience with system auditing. Internal auditing experience to the ISO 9001 standard is required
- Strong drive and persistence- full of energy
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as procedures, instructions, ISO texts, audit reports.
- Competent with MS Office products (Power BI, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
- Understand and perform work in a safe and helpful manner
