The Screen Technician/Inspector will be responsible for inspecting the plant and operations during shifts and repairing equipment as needed if identified as faulty during the inspections. The primary focus of this position is to inspect screen media, replace screen media, inspect chutes, and inspect crushers.

What You'll Do:

Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others throughout the operation, per MSHA and Vulcan standards.

Perform General Physical Activities. Perform various physical tasks associated with plant inspection, including climbing, crawling, washing, sweeping, shoveling, and welding.

Inspect Equipment and Structures. Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations that maximize production and minimize interruptions.

Repair and Maintain Equipment. Repair screenings and crushing equipment if not meeting Vulcan and MSHA standards during plant inspections.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Experience. Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.

Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.

Flexibility. Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises. Must be able to work at heights.

Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

Hourly Range: the hourly range for this role is between $21.63 - $26.06. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
