The Per Diem Admin is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and special testing visits across various departments. This role involves collecting, verifying, and accurately recording necessary patient information, while ensuring compliance with departmental screening policies. The admin will input data into hospital and departmental computer systems with precision. Additionally, the role supports various operational improvement initiatives through administrative support and data management. Effective communication and a strong emphasis on teamwork are essential components of this position.

The Per Diem Admin will be responsible for:

  1. Scheduling appointments off the scheduling work queues for Allergy & Immunology, Rheumatology, and Dermatology. Adhering to the department's scheduling guidelines and escalating cases requiring assistance to the appropriate section's admin as needed.
  2. Collecting, verifying, and updating patient demographics and insurance information during the scheduling process, and opting patients in for text messaging when possible.
  3. Performing other scheduling-related tasks as needed to support the department's needs and patient care workflows.

To qualify, you must have:

  • High School Diploma/ GED. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
