Job Summary
Position Description
The Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) seeks to fill a non-tenure system open rank position in the Information Systems area. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Instruction or Practice, depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Teaching responsibilities will revolve primarily around undergraduate and graduate level courses related to cybersecurity, but could involve other areas in information systems including cloud computing, machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, traditional and nontraditional database technologies, IoT, etc. Candidates will be expected to engage in service activities within the university and the profession. They are also expected to maintain the AACSB classification that they are hired under.
The appointment commences for the spring 2025 semester.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent prior to employment. Those with a relevant master's degree and appropriate industry experience will be considered at the application/interviewing stage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
The School/Department
The Naveen Jindal School of Management has become a national and international leader in research and education since its own entrepreneurial beginning in 1975. Over 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled in the Jindal School, the largest and fastest growing school at UT Dallas. With over 30 programs, we boast a faculty and student body that provides a fusion of backgrounds and experiences. Faculty in the Information Systems area are very research-active, and regularly publish in the leading outlets. In addition to a strong doctoral program, the area houses large master's and undergraduate programs in business analytics and information technology.

5 years of relevant experience, including teaching and industry experience, for candidates with Masters degrees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence;
Prepare and teach undergraduate and/or graduate classes;
Contribute assessment information and data as requested;
Mentor and/or advise undergraduate and/or graduate students;
Engage in service within the academic unit, the university, and the profession as appropriate based on teaching and research constraints;
Teach eight (8) classes each academic year.
