What you'll do

As Director of Organic Social Communications, you are a creative senior leader with ability and excitement for setting social strategy that aligns with business goals and implementing that strategy.

This role will be fun and the best kind of challenge: You'll balance finding a fresh social voice and POV that aligns with the new Docusign brand, using social trends and driving toward the business outcomes that explain and demonstrate the value of Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM).

Docusign is at an exciting inflection point - we're expanding beyond e-signature and want to connect with partners in all parts of business the value that comes from Docusign IAM. To help in this effort, you'll need to be able to create social strategies for the different personas we're trying to reach, assess which platforms and tactics are best for which audiences, and effectively explain those stories to grow and engage the right audiences. You'll be working with executives and practitioners across the company, surfacing the best stories and product value to share, and devising the best way to earn share of voice in the social space.

A bit about you: You have great judgment, an authentic voice, and a deep understanding of social platforms including LinkedIn. You are adept at growing strategic audiences to meet business needs and are flexible in the face of change. You get joy from growing an enterprise that helps businesses and people be successful.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Communications.

Responsibility

  • Create social strategies, design campaigns and implement both proactive and reactive social plans for Docusign's social platforms, including auditing which platforms are best suited to meet Docusign's business goals

  • Drive and produce proactive content creation (e.g., videos, photos, text) for Docusign social platforms and Docusign executives and employees

  • Establish key performance indicators that measure brand and product awareness, audience growth, engagement, and return on investment
  • Contribute to Docusign thought leadership initiatives via social channels

  • Work cross-functionally with company executives, team members, partners, and third-parties to create and produce social content and campaigns

  • Identify and develop effective social personalities inside and outside of Docusign, including influencers

  • Stay up to date with social media trends and standard methodologies, including tooling, production, and current events

  • Provide strategic counsel for Docusign executives, employees, and partners on social best practices

  • Devise and produce necessary social narratives, campaigns, and materials


Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.


What you bring

Basic

  • 12+ years of communications experience at major corporations
  • 8+ years helping lead social communications and/or channels

Preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to devise social programs and produce social content that differentiates companies
  • Flexibility and a bias to action
  • An excitement to dig into the work personally as part of a lean and nimble team
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • Experience at public companies, particularly in the SaaS space
  • Experience working with corporate teams in technology or enterprise social settings
  • Excellent cross-functional communication experience
  • Experience thriving in a matrixed environment
  • Strong ability to advocate and influence at any level, from executives to peers to working teams
  • Strong content creation, copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
  • High emotional intelligence

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $134,900.00 - $216,975.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
