National Grid is hiring a Senior Counsel to support the New England Environmental Permitting team. This is a hybrid position that will be based out of our offices in Waltham, MA. Job Purpose
National Grid is seeking an in-house environmental permitting attorney to work in the Environmental-Legal practice group, as part of the General Counsel function. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience as a practicing attorney, demonstrating strong analytical, research, and interpersonal skills, as well as persuasive oral and written communication capabilities. Responsibilities include practicing before local, state, and federal permitting authorities and advising clients regarding all aspects of environmental permitting, including matters related to electric and gas infrastructure, compliance filings, and emerging legislative/regulatory requirements. This role will include drafting and filing petitions, testimony, compliance documents, and customer correspondence, as well as representing the business in regulatory proceedings and meetings before various permitting authorities and with stakeholder groups. This position is a full-time, hybrid position with a reporting location of Waltham, MA. Key Accountabilities
