Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $100,050.00/Yr. - USD $166,750.00/Yr.. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Requirements

    3 years of experience with Nutanix hardware and software (e.g. Acropolis Hypervisor)
  • 3 years of experience with Windows Server Management
  • 3 years of experience with VMWare ESXi, vCenter, Horizon View and Cloud Pod Architecture
  • Active Cybersecurity Certification (e.g. Security+, CySA+, GICSP, CISSP, CCNP Security)


Desired Skills

  • 5 years of experience with Nutanix HyperVisor (AHV) and Enterprise Cloud Administration, to include Micro-segmentation, Nutanix Files, Prism Central and Prism Element
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; will consider additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years of experience in VDI build and administration preferably in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) environment
  • 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer in a medium to large Enterprise environment supporting a variety of operating systems
  • VMware 7.0 installation, configuration, security hardening and administration as well as Horizon View 8
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and Windows 11 installation, configuration and security hardening experience
  • Experience hardening Windows 11, to include replicating the Standard Host Baseline (SHB) Process
  • Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy installation, configuration and administration
  • Domain Name System (DNS) and BIND installation and configuration experience including DNSSEC
  • Ability to run, build and execute PowerShell scripts for diagnostics, repairs or automation
  • Secure Socket Layer (SSL) & Transport Layer Security (TLS) and other cipher suites and how to enforce them for workstations and servers
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written skills
  • Must have experience with implementing Cyber-Security best practices
  • Experience administering and implementing VDI Architecture in conjunction with Everfox


Description

This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. SRC is searching for a Mid-Level Data Center Engineer to support sustainment of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) systems. These systems consist of an on-premises Nutanix Hyper-Converged Private Cloud utilizing VMware ESXi Hypervisor and associated products, with full utilization Nutanix's native Hypervisor for application workloads. The Private Cloud hosts NORAD and USNORTHCOM Mission Applications and Web Services including the Situational Awareness Geospatial Enterprise (SAGE) and Air Event Information Sharing Service (A/EISS) applications, as well as the Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) Program of Record (PoR) System and Information Technology (IT) infrastructure including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers. Sustainment of NORAD and USNORTHCOM systems will be conducted at the government's facilities in Colorado Springs, CO. Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Operating, Managing, and Maintaining On-Prem Nutanix Private Cloud for the customer to include troubleshooting, break fix activities, the patching and remediation of nodes and clusters that support Customer Apps, VDI and Development & Test Environments
  • Administering On-Prem VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for the customer to include troubleshooting, break fix activities, the patching and remediation of servers, and system audit log reviews as necessary
  • Performing actions as a Windows System Administrator on Servers and Client images
  • Maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
  • Working across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systemic problems
  • Designing and documenting installation and configuration solutions
  • Creating templates and machine images based on user requirements
  • Maintaining and patching of the environment
  • Level 2/3 support for our internal staff
  • Working remotely using USNORTHCOM VDI to support COVID-19 safety protocols, On-Call (after hours) and Contingency Operations (e.g. continuity of operations)
