Role overview:

At SIE we want to enable PlayStation to deliver on its promise to be the Best Place to Play by making it the Best Place to Work! In IT, we aim to achieve this by providing information and technology platforms that enable seamless working, communication and collaboration with colleagues and partners anywhere in the world.

The SIE IT - Business Enablement Services department implements, enhances, and supports products and services that underpin PlayStation's Sales, Finance and Operations business processes. We are looking for an experienced Model Builder - Anaplan to help drive the development of SIE's Financial Planning and Analysis solution, and integrate it into the sales, finance, and operations systems landscape for both the physical and digital PlayStation business.

You will manage model infrastructure on the platform (revision tag deployment, model data updates & reconciliations). You will enable the team to support the business in meeting their planning, forecasting and budgeting achievements, as well as in the delivery of system enhancements. You will do this by identifying business needs, understanding existing models and processes, and translating requirements into efficiently built and integrated Anaplan solutions.

You will have demonstrable experience of leading multi-dimensional model development on the Anaplan platform, including the configuration of existing models, incorporation of new functionality and continual optimisation of modeling solutions.

You will help foster a positive and productive team culture to ensure Anaplan Model Builders remain focused on consistently delivering high quality solutions.


What you'll be doing:

Continuous implementation and development of SIE's Anaplan Financial planning and modeling platform, including but not limited to:



  • Platform Delivery & Governance
  • Providing direction and governance for the implementation of all key functional and non-functional requirements on the Anaplan platform
  • Working with the team to ensure stories arrive for development meeting the agreed 'definition of ready' and that completed stories ready for acceptance have met the 'definition of done'
  • Assisting with the definition and governance of model building standards and best practices
  • Application and monitoring of standards across project developments and business as usual modeling activities
  • Creation and maintenance of data, process and technical documentation associated with the platform and associated integration
  • Ownership of model security, ensuring that users have the correct level of access to the platform
  • Model Building
  • Support and enhance existing models built during the initial implementation, delivering, and maintaining all model components (lists, modules, actions, UX pages, dashboards etc)
  • Take ownership of all model update processes and ensure that business needs are met regarding timing on model preparation (Data uploads, Metadata management, Reconciliations)
  • Provide additional support to new Model Builders and act as a bridge between user requirements and active implementation
  • Develop inbound/outbound data feeds to and from the Anaplan data hub
  • Develop end-user dashboards, reporting and analytical solutions
  • Unit testing, system, and performance testing of model deliverables
  • Supporting user acceptance test activities
  • Assisting in data validation, migration, and deployment of new models
  • Providing end-user knowledge transfer, training, and support
  • Collaboration / Centre of Excellence (CoE)
  • Collaborate with user groups to identify areas for improvement with Anaplan Models
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to identify areas of opportunity for data utilization
  • Work closely with the Anaplan development team to ensure standard methodology is met throughout all implementations
  • Contributor in the creation of an Anaplan CoE with the goal of driving the adoption and maximizing utilization of the Anaplan solution by
  • Operating as an Anaplan SME - be a trusted point of contact for colleague support
  • Where appropriate, training, coaching and sharing knowledge with users and peers
  • Developing processes and standards that will be applied across the CoE
  • Continuously identify gaps and opportunities for projects that will streamline workflows and overall processes

  • High proficiency to understand and interrogate complex business data requirements, and build feeds and analytical models that will deliver the relevant insights
  • Strong mathematical and analytical background with high attention to detail
  • Experienced in working globally, across business and technology teams based in the US (West Coast), Japan and Europe (UK)
  • Track record of working with high performing technical teams
  • Breadth and depth of experience building and running complex software systems and highly scalable/available software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confirmed ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
  • Willingness to challenge when assessing problems and proposals


Your technical experience should include the following or similar tools and technologies:


Essential

  • Anaplan Model Builder Level 2 with demonstrable experience of building complex models in Anaplan for at least 3 years
  • Deep understanding of the financial planning business capabilities and processes and their implementation within a major organization
  • In depth expertise in complex data analysis (specifically relating to financial planning)
  • Deep understanding of multi-dimensional data modeling and its implementation
  • Experience of common BI reporting platforms such as PowerBI and Tableau
  • Experience of performing technical platform critical assessments
  • Data modeling techniques


Desirable

  • Experienced in the implementation of financial planning tools within an organization - SAP BPC, Oracle EBS/Hyperion, Workday Adaptive, Cognos
  • Experience of working with integration technologies - in particular, Sterling Integrator
  • Understanding of S/4Hana financial modules and associated data structures
  • Solution architecture - use of frameworks such as TOGAF, Archimate
  • Prior to working on Anaplan platform has extensive experience of the software delivery process, with a focus on Agile techniques

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$126,300 $189,500 USD
