Administrative Assistance Support

The Administrative Assistant will prepare reports & related correspondence in accordance with the Commanders' Support Staff Execution, Organization, and Responsibilities and USAF/USSF regulations and aid the Government in organizing conferences and events.

***This position requires an active Secret clearance***

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated Salary range for Administrative Assistance Support begins at: $80,000. Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Administrative Assistance Support Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare reports & related correspondence in accordance with the Commanders' Support Staff Execution, Organization, and Responsibilities and USAF/USSF regulations.
  • Organize conferences and events (remote or onsite), up to 20 conferences/events annually.
  • Analyze special projects and action times to provide administrative support to staff.
  • Review materials submitted for projects is related and procedures are met.
  • Assist in the creation of new administrative policies and procedures for the unit up to 4 times annually.
  • The contractor shall review action papers and all documentation for style, composition, and grammar accuracy. Make recommendations and/or corrections based on content, accuracy, and grammar.
  • Research office automation tools, read vendor manuals and applies techniques to developing new approaches pertaining to administrative practices and clerical procedures for processing and routing of correspondence.
  • Act as the unit's SharePoint administrator; manage unit's knowledge management requirements.
  • Manage collaboration and workflow/tasking software/processes and worksheets.
  • Manage calendars, meetings, read ahead material; attendees for up to five assigned leaders daily.
  • Assist government staff in preparing memorandums and all other unit level correspondence.
  • Reviewing action papers and all documentation for style, composition, and grammar accuracy; making recommendations and/or corrections based on content, accuracy, grammar
  • Will leverage Department of the Air Force Guidance Memorandum to AFH 33-337, The Tongue and Quill for guidance on reporting reports and correspondence.
  • Assist the government in preparing travel orders for DEL 6 leadership personnel

Administrative Assistance Support Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 Years Experience in an Administrative Assistant role, government experienced preferred

Soft Skills & Ability

  • Ability to excel without supervision
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and judgment skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Technical

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PP, Excel, Outlook)

Other Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
  • 100% on-site
  • Domestic travel is required up to four (4) times a year
  • M-F days shift
  • Candidates must be US Citizens
  • Candidates must hold an active SECRET clearance
  • Candidates will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen
