About Us:

Requirements
Education and Experience: Minimum bachelor's degree in related field and 3-5 years of grant writing experience for nonprofit organizations. Skills Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to work, occasional evenings and weekends as required. Computer literate with a working knowledge of Raiser's Edge or other donor database tracking software, Web-based research tools, and Microsoft Office. Ability to effectively use computer equipment: monitor, keyboard, mouse, and other computer-related peripherals. Self-motivated and able to multi-task/manage many projects simultaneously, and shift priorities as needed. Must be able to work independently and also be a team player. Works well under pressure and meets deadlines. Must exercise good judgment and discretion, strong ethical character capable of handling confidential information. Requires understanding of homelessness and poverty, a high degree of maturity, strong inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with low socio-economic and diverse populations facing crisis situations in a professional and diplomatic manner. Knowledge of community resources available to homeless population. Must demonstrate maturity and sensitivity to issues of faith, culture, and other sources of diversity. Ability to work as part of a team within a multi-disciplinary framework. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Physical and emotional stamina to handle job-related issues and stress. Some travel required.
