Position Summary The Levo Lab (https://www.mlevolab.com/) investigates mechanisms of gene regulation. Projects in the lab aim to decipher how genomes instruct dynamic gene activity during early development. The lab employs a combination of computational and experimental approaches, including machine learning, genomic assays, and live imaging of subcellular dynamics coupled to CRIPSR-based genome engineering. Much of the experimental work is carried out in live Drosophila embryos. The technician will work closely with the PI and members of the lab to create new experimental techniques and obtain quantitative measurements illuminating the control of gene activity. Work will entail fly husbandry, genetics, molecular work, imaging, and general lab maintenance. The technician will participate in all lab meetings and will be expected to engage intellectually in the lab's research and contribute to a collaborative scientific environment.
