Our team in the SDG Space Sector's Fluids Business Unit is looking for aProduct Family Team (PFT) Lead - Solenoid Valvesto provide engineering leadership to our team. You will report directly to the Sr. Product Engineering Manager.

Here's what you'll be working on day to day:

  • Oversee foundational initiatives for engineering and operations to improve product quality. These initiatives are:
    • Create and implement standard operation procedures and best practices.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a model certification matrix with a focus on operator training on Space Actuation systems.
    • Assist with skills matrix development for Product Engineers including planning and facilitating required training.
  • Participate in proposal preparation, offering expert guidance on required testing, LOE estimation, and estimation of recurring and non-recurring tasks.
  • Collaborate strategically with operations to optimize workflows, develop key performance indicators, and resolve identified issues.
  • Lead the exploration and implementation of new technologies in assembly and test processes.
  • Oversee Root Cause investigations to ensure adjacencies are addressed and robust corrective actions are implemented.
  • Propose and implement improvements to improve product quality, reduce product cost, and reduce product lead-time.

To be considered for this role, here are the skills you'll bring with you...

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of relevant technical experience; or a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Experience with fluid valves or flow control devices.
  • Solenoid valve experience
  • Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills...

  • Mechanical Product Engineering experience in the aerospace industry
  • Leadership experience within an engineering organization with demonstrated ability to successfully influence and collaborate at senior levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with higher quality and documentation standards.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $85,000.00-$135,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
