Verizon is looking for a Director of PMO in the Marketing Activation organization to support our Brand & Business portfolios. The PMO Director will stand up the team responsible for driving the holistic end-to-end program management for all Verizon's central marketing brand and B2B projects. This role will require establishing a new operating structure and ways of working within our PMO team, as well as our processes with CMO, BU stakeholders and agency partners.

The PMO Director will own the end-to-end program from intake/briefing stage to finalization of all Strategic, Creative, Media, PR, Customer Experience, and Identity elements for our B2B & Brand campaigns.

What you'll be doing:
  • Driving campaign integration across all marketing and B2B functional groups to deliver on key performance and growth objectives.

  • Driving the integrated program timeline and milestone management to ensure readiness and solid execution.

  • Leading and developing the brand and B2B campaign calendar to ensure key levels for resource and budget allocation.

  • Directing and leading the process for integrated B2B & brand program from intake stage to finalization of all strategic, CX, identity, media, creative, and communications elements to meet/exceed growth targets.

  • Collaborating with all marketing and business unit partners to stand up the PMO function in B2B and brand to own and driving the holistic program plan that brings all teams together and holds everyone accountable.

  • Establishing planning, pre-brief kick off, and creative review processes with BU/IMC partners.

  • Driving the direction of briefs to include all required components and deliberating against business objectives.

  • Leading the creation and development of the campaign calendar that will trigger project movement to manage workload effectively and efficiently across the team.

  • Identifying the strategic partner involvement to ensure marketing commitments are satisfied.

  • Driving milestone management to ensure readiness and solid delivery/execution.

  • Articulating, managing, and tracking all relevant deliverables/deadlines and holding both CMO and BU stakeholders accountable and on track to hit dates.

  • Driving overall process and tool transformation efforts to improve program development and automation across the cross-functional team.

  • Ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and are evaluated for ROI.

What we're looking for: You'll need to have:
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Seven or more years of project management, program management or integrated marketing experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Experience managing and influencing relationships at the senior level; ability to present and interact with all levels of management.

  • Experience with stakeholder & client management within highly matrixed, complex organizations.

  • Proven ability to implement, support, and track multiple programs under strict timelines.

  • Solid understanding of project management including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk.

  • Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Effective presentation development and delivery skills are a must.
