Overview

Myriad Genetics is currently seeking a technician with 2-5 years technical experience to work onsite fulltime at their Mason, Ohio locations. The Technician will provide support for a variety of onsite needs and environments: general office, users, network devices (e.g., printers/scanners), laboratory, and video/conferencing support. The successful candidate will need to be knowledgeable in supporting users and devices in a corporate environment, be self-motivated, have excellent customer service skills and be able to manage a variety of tasks and workloads. Additionally, the technician will be required to work with expanded IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems dealing with the office location that they support.

Location (Onsite): Mason, Ohio

Responsibility



  1. Provides frontline resolution/escalation for technical support requests via phone, email or ticket.
  2. Provides software support, troubleshooting, and installation. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, computer peripherals and tablets.
  3. Provide intermediate-level support for collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, VPN, etc.).
  4. Provides video conferencing and A/V support, including Zoom Rooms/Webinars.
  5. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems (including lab computers).
  6. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
  7. E-Waste management, equipment decommissions, disposal or destruction.
  8. Maintains, manages, and supports multiformat printers, label printers and scanners.
  9. Inventory management, organizes, manages, and maintains onsite equipment.
  10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  11. At times may need to support office functions after hours or in an on-call situation.
  12. Supports equipment and desk moves.



Qualifications



  1. Associate's degree or its equivalent and/or 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  2. 1+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Proven IT experience supporting an office location in a technical role.
  3. High standard of customer service, quality, and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  5. Strong oral and written English language skills including experience creating written documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Experience with the following (within a corporate support environment):

    1. Windows 7/10; MacOS/iOS; Android
    2. Office 365/Intune
    3. Dell Wyse/ VMware Horizon
    4. Network Printing/IP Phones

  7. Self-motivated and seeks out opportunities to contribute.
  8. Strong organizational skills to manage a wide variety of tasks and workloads.
  9. Ability to excel in high pressure multitasking situations.
  10. Strong oral and written English language skills including experience creating written documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements -light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements -stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
