Reporting to the Associate Director for Communications and Marketing, the Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Communications Team to ensure that all communications-related efforts are integrated to support Global Refuge's initiatives, campaigns, and external affairs. They will be responsible for completing a wide range of tasks and projects that further Global Refuge's mission.

We walk alongside individuals, families, and children as they begin their new lives in the United States through our work in refugee resettlement, welcome and respite services for asylum seekers, economic empowerment and employment, and family unification for unaccompanied children. DUTIES



  • Assist with writing, creating, editing, delivering, and optimizing a range of marketing and communications materials for use across a wide range of platforms, including social media, web, direct mail, email, and more.
  • Coordinate special events, projects, and campaigns, such as webinars, content plans, and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Coordinate and manage the creation and distribution of branded materials such as swag, brochures, etc. with external vendors.
  • Assist with website updates and revisions.
  • Support multimedia projects such as video and graphics creation.
  • Provide administrative support as needed with expense reports, invoicing, scheduling, and other related tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years of experience in communications, marketing, creative writing, and interactive content management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with tracking and reporting analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Canva is required.
  • Knowledge of WordPress, MailChimp, and Salesforce CRM preferred.
  • Flexible, creative, and adaptable thinker, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful team player.
  • Commitment to Global Refuge's core mission and values and an ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners; commitment to empowering refugees and migrants
