Pomp's Tire Service is urgently hiring for a General Maintenance Custodian. The General Maintenance Custodian is responsible for performing preventative maintenance in the facilities and maintaining overall cleanliness. This position does not include Electrical or HVAC work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform snow removal duties, including shoveling, operation snow blowers, and applying salt to maintain safe and accessible walkways, driveways, and parking areas.
• Inspect buildings to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions and make repairs as needed.
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replace or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing drain hoses, etc.).
• Perform painting and carpentry (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints and stains, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain hallways, lobbies, break areas, restrooms, parking lots and other work areas clean.
• Empty garbage cans and dispose of waste
• Collaborate with management to maintain a sufficient inventory of chemical and consumables.
• Move office supplies using various dollies and hand trucks.
• Additional tasks as assigned by manager.

Job Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment driver's file.
• Prior experience in general maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to read and verify work order information.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds.
