Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview

Pantheon Data (A Kenific Holding company) has an opening for an experienced Data Engineer.

Responsibilities



  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Deploy and manage data pipelines and processing workflows on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Monitor data pipelines for errors and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including APIs, databases, flat files, and UI platforms.
  • Create efficient schemas for data storage and retrieval.
  • Deploy ML models into production environments, ensuring integration with existing data systems.
  • Develop and manage logical, physical, and conceptual data models.
  • Implement data preprocessing and feature engineering workflows to support ML/AI applications.
  • Mentor junior data engineers, provide technical guidance, and review code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand requirements and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers in the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of software applications
  • Contributes to the development of software tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of software designs, processes, and development tasks.


Required Skills and Experience



  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience in Python, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience building and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing.
  • Experience designing and implementing ETL and reliable data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation.
  • Proficiency with distributed data processing.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Redshift), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or GCP (Dataflow, Big Query).
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in software development, focusing on embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud technologies and capabilities.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on solving complex problems.
  • Ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality software.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Experience working in a government environment.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Xen, OpenStack, VirtualBox).
  • Experience with automation and baselining of artifacts using a DevOps pipeline.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
