RESPIRATORY THERAPIST-REG

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Provide Respiratory support to all patients with abnormalities of cardiopulmonary function. Administration and monitoring of all diagnostic and therapeutic modalities within the service's scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed physician. Supervises all Respiratory Technicians and Respiratory Therapy students.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: RESPIRATORY CARE SERVICES

• Associate Degree of Applied Science in Respiratory Care from an Accredited Respiratory Program, Bachelor's preferred.
• Current NYS Respiratory Therapist License.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current BLS by the American Heart Association.
• 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Pediatric/ Neonatal experience preferred

ACLS/NRP/PALS preferred

Requirement - Associate RT Degree.
