Responsibilities

The Industrial Engineering Sr Manager will be responsible for the design and execution of national processes and initiatives to support our customers' growing expectations and demand. Additionally, the position will be accountable for developing and driving analysis and KBI's related to service execution, production capacity, demand/delivery frequency, equipment throughput and other functional support across the enterprise with a continuous improvement mindset. The Industrial Engineering Manager will be an influential leader and partner to the entire organization to ensure processes are executed at an elevated level and to remain agile with changing customer needs. This individual must be comfortable collaborating and communicating with cross-functional partners to drive business results while managing to customer needs and expectation.

  • Suggest, document, and implement process improvement strategies for a more efficient operation.
  • Recommend work area designs to ensure effective use of space, ergonomic principles, and streamlined process flow.
  • Perform time studies, compile, and analyze results to determine associated time values, and recommend resource requirements of processes within the organization.
  • Create and implement standard work for internal processes via training.
  • Create documentation to provide recommendations for improvement to principles of process control.
  • Assume leadership initiative within multiple groups and functions, including serving as a project management resource on site when needed, managing project life cycles: kickoff, analysis, implementation, and post-cost and ROI analysis.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve customer experience.
  • Train other functions via remote or in-person sessions
  • Compile and analyze data with the intent to identify improvement strategies.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional discussions to propose solutions to current business challenges.
  • Lead cross-functional partnerships with Production, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and SG&A functions to drive results.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team based on the size of the project and deliverables.
  • Drive results through communication, training, and engagement.
  • Apply logistical acumen & an OPEX-focused approach when problem-solving to meet customer service expectations.
  • Mentor and develop team members, encouraging professional growth and skill development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar discipline
  • Master's degree, MBA, or related degree preferred if not a finance, industrial engineering, or business administration bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of Industrial Engineering related work
  • Experience in results analysis, including using data to communicate results and recommendations.
  • Experience writing standard operating procedures, master operating plans, and/or standard work practice documents.
  • Experience completing elemental time studies with the ability to create and establish original analysis a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and people skills
  • Strong technical ability and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and software to visualize and communicate results such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • LSS Green Belt minimum and Black Belt preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License
