National Contribution Lead
The National Contributions Lead is responsible for collaborating with the Contributions Officer towards completion of necessary day to day administrative operations of Corporate Contributions for Comerica Charitable Foundation grants and Comerica Charitable sponsorship processing including but not limited to monitoring grant and sponsorship requests from application to final disposition within the system of record. Responsibilities include reviews and approvals per policies and Procedures in addition to leading on payment processing, reconciliation, and Excellence guideline requirements for the department.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides appropriate administrative review and approvals within the system of record on all charitable grant and sponsorship requests in collaboration with Contributions Officer.
- Oversees Contributions department operations to ensure that all contributions activities are following Comerica and Comerica Foundation approved Policies and Procedures.
- Serves as the department lead and point person for activation of required Corporate Risk and Compliance guidelines.
- Initiates and manages the annual review of departmental Policies and Procedures in support of the Director of Contributions in the review process.
- Review and complete weekly and bi-monthly payment requests for approval and processing as well as for monthly reconciliations for both Comerica and Comerica Foundation.
- Identifies and presents data analytics and operational best practice opportunities for department.
- Analyzes, prepares and presents key data points within charitable applications to improve the use of application data and inform decision making; including but not limited to leading on the Healthy Portfolio project and in support of the External Affairs Board Governance project.
- Collaborates and supports along with Director, External Affairs and line of business leaders on planning, budgeting, and reporting of annual roll up plans.
- Consolidates reporting and large dollar grant or sponsorship requests as provided by Contributions Officer and prepares appropriate executive leadership or Foundation Board presentations. Available for Foundation Board presentations as necessary to review operations, data reporting and project and program updates.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- 4 years of experience in multiple facets of a multi-million-dollar business operation or department
- 4 years of experience understanding of Private Foundations and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) preferred
- 4 years of experience working with senior executive leadership
- 4 years of experience in Program or project management
- 4 years of experience in Microsoft Office suite especially PPT and SharePoint
- 4 years of experience with data analytics tools and their application
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
