Job Description: As a Manager of Distribution Engineering, you will collaborate with both internal and external customers to identify their power requirements and design projects that meet these needs safely, reliably, and cost-effectively. Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Distribution Engineering, Joint Use, Pricing, and Invoicing teams.
- Provide technical support to various internal departments, including Planning, Standards, Metering, Test Department, Network, Call Center, Major Accounts, Contractor, Customer Dispatch Operations, Systems Operating, and Line Department.
- Ensure customers receive safe, reliable, and cost-effective power solutions by taking ownership of customer interactions.
- Plan, schedule, and direct daily departmental activities within your area of accountability.
- Manage major and highly political projects, providing troubleshooting skills to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Advise senior management on technical issues and make recommendations as needed.
- Approve customer invoice amounts and ensure accurate billing.
- Participate in storm response efforts as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related field from an accredited college/university.
- 5-7 years of experience in electric distribution operations.
- Proven experience in leading and managing professional work groups.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
