Job Description

Salary Range:$73,238-$90,471

Summary:

Kennedy Valve is currently seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Foundry Mold Supervisor. This position reports to the Foundry Value Stream Manager and has daily team interactions within the Foundry Departments. Top level priority of the Foundry Supervisor is to lead their team by managing their own words and behaviors, setting an example that engages employees, and owns the Molding process that leads to safely producing quality castings and on time delivery to our customers. The Foundry Supervisor works closely with the Foundry Value Stream Manager to direct the day-to-day activities of the Molding department to up to 25 hourly employees. The Foundry supervisor will also be responsible for support in other departments to fill in when needed.

JOB DUTIES

* Work with all Foundry Departments to ensure we meet or exceed our On-Time Delivery to all our customers.

* Ability to multi-task and make decisions quickly without disrupting the workplace flow.

* Work with Foundry Manager and area supervisors to provide support to hourly employees, assuring that the right tools and training are present to do the job safely.

* Collect and record daily production information and identify opportunities for improvement based on the data.

* Maintain a payroll system for assigned employees including submitting vacation and approving hours worked on a weekly basis.

* Assure us all, Safety and Environmental training is up to date while promoting a people-first environment where the expectation is to keep each other safe.

* Perform monthly safety inspections as assigned with a focus on improvements.

* Direct workforce on a day-to-day basis, making changes as needed to meet our goal of being 100% on time all the time.

* Promote an environment of accountability, respect, and trust.

* Support maintenance in trouble shooting of equipment.

* Support the Foundry Quality Engineer and the Tooling Engineer Supervisor in identifying tooling needs/repairs.

* Identify areas needing support through daily interactions and walk through the production floor.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.

* Proficient user knowledge of MS Office programs; especially Excel.

* Knowledge of Foundry operations is a plus.

Additional Information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Standing for extended periods of time, walking throughout the facility, ability to lift 50lbs as required.

Work Environment

* Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.

* Work time is spent on the manufacturing floor and in a managerial office.

* Potential for alternating rotation of 1st and 2nd shifts.
