Position Overview

This position will provide leadership and guidance for all Pool related logistics operations, including network design, analysis, rate negotiations and leadership for the Domestic Operations Team. This position has ownership of the business relationships with the pool points (awards/terminates contracts, manages corrective action) and is the key liaison with the RVP's and DM's

The position is tasked with managing the continuous flow of materials from our Distribution Center to our national retail stores. Providing support to the Distribution Center's daily operations, long term goals and strategic initiatives is paramount.

    • Train and develop existing Transportation team members to raise the overall skill level of the team in the areas of logistics and professional service.

    • Supervisory responsibility for the Domestic Pool team.

  • Uses the most appropriate financial and quantitative indicators to measure business performance.

  • Ability to travel to various pool locations as needed.



Qualifications / Education / Experience Requirements




  • Minimum 3 to 5 years leadership experience in logistics.
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years exposure to transportation operations.
  • Prefer a BS in Logistics, Transportation, Distribution, or Business Administration.
  • Solid understanding of retail stores and how they operate in terms of logistics and inventory.
  • Strong DC operations knowledge.

  • Work conducted in a warehouse and/or office environment.
  • Must be able to use a computer and mouse.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including hours outside of normal schedule.

  • Continuous mental and/or visual attention; the work requires constant alertness in both a warehouse environment and an office environment.
  • The noise level is moderate.


  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • The physical demand typically applied in this job includes: lifting, pulling, reaching, carrying, pushing, standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
