Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

As a Human Resources Representative you will have the unique opportunity to interact with colleagues at every level of our organization throughout each of our institutions. As part of our Employee Services Department, you will play a critical role by assisting our colleagues with onboarding, payroll, compensation, benefits, systems and policy questions through the askHR Service Center. In this role, you will maintain a high level of visibility with colleagues across Adtalem globally. To ensure success, HR Representatives should exhibit strong customer service and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, this role will work collaboratively with human resources team members to assist in the implementation of HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all internal and external human resources related inquiries in areas of payroll, compensation, benefits, policy, etc. within the established service level agreement.
  • Serve as a company representative and point of contact for human resources.
  • Provide excellent customer service and consistently maintain high satisfaction scores.
  • Collaborate with human resources team members and vendors to resolve issues and create a seamless colleague experience.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and use good judgement to identify issues and escalate, as necessary.
  • Manage leave administration and provide a high level of support to colleagues and managers throughout the leave and return to work process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws, including but not limited to leave-related parameters, FMLA, FLSA, etc.
  • Support operations and administration of benefit processes, such as retirement and HSA funding.
  • Facilitate new colleague orientation and partner with managers and new hires to effectively welcome and onboard new employees.
  • Assist and provide leaders with support to understanding and utilizing manger self-service tools and reporting.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance colleague experience through self-service technology.
  • Assist with managing and enhancing the HR internal resource center and self-service tools (HR knowledgebase and chat bot).
  • Partner with the HRIS team to maintain data integrity within HCM
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field required
  • 1 year inoffice or HR related experience required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Professional maturity and ability to work with colleagues at all levels across the organization
  • Ability to think critically and provide out of box solutions
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to identify issues and make sound decisions
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected hourly range for this position is between$20.00 and $23.50. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
