Overview
We are seeking a Mid-level Systems Administrator to provide a variety of technical and administrative network systems support to the company's IT Operations for assigned locations to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office 365 Administration, Intune Administration, Desktop/laptop Support, analyzing network needs; integration, and installation; evaluating network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and making recommendations; and performing equipment and equipment and software upgrades. This role is required to be onsite for a minimum of 4 days per week.The role will be based out of one of our corporate offices, including Chantilly, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; California, MD; Washington, DC; Beavercreek, OH; or San Diego, CA.
What will you do?
- Provide tier 1 and tier 2 end user support for all hardware and software issues.
- Provide onsite and remote support.
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets.
- Windows 11 Imaging.
- Office 365 administration, with an emphasis on SharePoint Online and Teams administration
- Onboarding new hires and offboarding employees.
- Issue, manage, and install certifications to include, email certifications and CAC card readers.
- Installs and maintains local area network hardware and software including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.
- Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations; handles related site-specific needs as required.
- Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others; coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
- Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage of company email, conference bridge, cell phone setup, and standard PC utilization.
- Monitors and maintains network stability.
- Maintains a current asset inventory and asset assignment information.
- On-site point of contact.
Do you have what it takes?
Required skills:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field with at least five years of IT administration experience.
- Experienced with Office 365 products and administration, including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Experience working with Windows 11 workstations.
- Excellent customer service
- Manage and maintain Active directory
- Basic understanding of hardware and software issues.
- Basic understanding of network peripherals such as printers, scanners, audio, and video devices
- Able to troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed.
- Language skills to read, comprehend, and interpret documents and procedure manuals to respond to user questions.
- Must possess detail orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic level analytical and creative problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
