We are seeking a candidate with 10 to 13 years of experience to join our team. The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing the digital capabilities of the USP/DSP Product based teams in the Research and Process Development areas by working on ELN projects. The role requires a deep understanding of Lab equipment, connections and configuration of equipment both in research and process development. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Life Sciences, Pre-Clinical, Pharma, or Drug Development processes and have hands-on experience with ELN and digitalization. The candidate should be from Research background with PhD or Masters. Location: Boston, MA Experience: 10+ years Skills:
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create detailed business requirement documents, specifications, and relevant artifacts.
- Lead: As a senior business analyst lead the business analyst team for the respective product delivery. Coordinate with customer product owner for backlog prioritization, workaround for team challenges, and guide the team on delivery.
- Use Case Development: Create and own detailed use cases, supporting functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with product management, internal subject matter experts, technical services, and client end-users to understand key requirements.
- Product Knowledge: Have good product knowledge of lead optimization applications, their installation, configuration, customization, and integrations with other systems and workflows.
- Agile Framework: Experience in an Agile framework is an added advantage.
- Master's or PhD in Biotech/Bioinformatics.
- Hands on experience working with ELNB platform including workbook, Compose & Capture, inventory management, classification and configuration of equipment.
- Create business requirement documents, specifications, and relevant artifacts.
- Good product knowledge of lab applications, their installation, configuration, customization, integrations with other systems, workflows etc.
- Interact with product management, internal subject matter experts, technical services, and client end-users, to understand key requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ability to interact with customer users to understand their pain points and turn those into actionable user stories and product plans.
- Demonstrate ability to understand client requirements and as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems, and processes to enable execution of those skills.
- Critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills to address core business problems. Ability to effectively evaluate a problem or situation from all angles to determine the most appropriate solution.
- Implement value-adds and process in line with industry standards.
- Support User testing and ensure that the product meets the business needs. Indulge and improve documentation.
- Ability to understand and translate scientific requirements into user stories. Track progress and perform demo to relevant internal stakeholders and external product users.
- Perform impact assessment due to changes (minor enhancements)
- Proactively propose continuous service improvement ideas to improve and/or enhance the performance of the applications.
- Execute continuous service improvement and automation initiatives as directed by the Service Delivery Lead.
Essential Skills:
- Life Sciences Expertise: Expertise in Lead Optimization and Process Development
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with ELN.
- Documentation: Ability to create thorough and clear documentation of the analysis, requirements, and proposals.
- Lead Optimization Applications: Good product knowledge of lead optimization applications, their installation, configuration, customization, and integrations with other systems and workflows.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools to manage and track the progress of the project.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A background in Biotech or Bio Medical fields or experience in handling Early research applications or equipment specialization
- This role is pivotal in ensuring that the ELN projects meet business needs while enhancing the overall digital capabilities of the organization.

- Strong written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
