Finish Grade Heavy Equipment Operator

We are looking for anFinish Grade Equipment Operator to join the team at Turkey Creek Landfill in Alvarado, Texas. Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00/hr. Depending on experience

45 - 50 hours/week

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installing downchutes
• Constructing major roads
• Installing drainage structures (berms, ponds, etc.)
• Building structural pads

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

The work environment is an outdoor Landfill setting and exposed to elements, heat, winds, sun etc. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of experience in finish grade work
• Mastery in finish hand work on the following equipment:

Skid Steer

Motor Grader

Bulldozer

Excavator

• Work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Work outdoors in all types of weather
• Follow safe operating practices
• Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
• Write and comprehend reports well enough to complete daily assignments
• Previous landfill experience is a plus BUT not required!
• Portfolio of work, including references
• Candidates will be required to complete multi-hour skills test
