Who We Are Looking For:

The Trade Desk is growing at a fast pace, and we are seeking a team member to join our Global People Relations team to deliver exceptional support to our global employees. The People Relations team is dedicated to fostering a healthy, productive relationship between employees and the organization. Their role involves promoting a positive work environment, investigating employee concerns, and resolving conflicts that may impact workplace dynamics. Additionally, the People Relations team oversees the company compliance standards, policies, and accommodations.

You will be part of the Global People Operations team reporting to the Director, People Relations.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Conduct fair, thorough, and timely internal workplace investigations and monitor and implement corrective action/discipline
  • Assist in People compliance and regulatory activities in North America, including regulatory reporting requirements, required compliance training, employment risk management, etc.
  • Manage TTD's reasonable accommodations process end to end, including engaging in and documenting the interactive process with applicants and employees requesting reasonable accommodations due to disability/medical and religious beliefs and practices
  • Proactively identify, manage, and monitor risks, propose improvements, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Interpret, communicate, and maintain ER policies and processes
  • Responsible for creating policies in North America to include creating/updating the employee handbook
  • Effectively manage ER cases including investigations, employee conflicts, performance management concerns, involuntary exits, and other employee-related matters to successful resolution
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in the employee experience by building and facilitating people relations and compliance processes that emphasize fair, consistent, and respectful outcomes
  • Lead and own conflict resolution of complex employee relations issues
  • Partner with Legal as needed to ensure policies and practices comply with applicable country and local laws and regulations


What You Bring to the Table:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; relevant master's degree, or law degree a plus.
  • Experience working in employee/labor relations with solid working knowledge of relevant best practices.
  • Relevant experience working in ER/LR, HR or HR shared service functions.
  • Strong ability to build trust, along with demonstrated ability to drive and lead results.
  • Stellar communication skills, conflict management and resolution skills with experience in delivering sensitive messaging of all types to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Results driven ability with problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Openness to occasional travel as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of the organization and across functional areas.
  • Agile and able to adapt as projects and priorities change and able to remain composed, positive, and gritty in the face of any setbacks or challenges.
  • Able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives and to discover solutions and build consensus.
  • Generous and open communication style.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$112,600 $206,500 USD
