Position Title: Post Closing Associate 2 Business Unit: Mortgage Administration Reports to: Supervisor of Post Closing Position Overview: This position is primarily responsible for performing a thorough post closing audit for ALL mortgage loan products in accordance with all agency or private investor guidelines. Upon completing the audit, the incumbent boards the loan on to the servicing system. The incumbent provides the highest quality of accuracy, organizational skills and professional courtesy to both internal and external persons. Primary Responsibilities: Completes a post-closing audit and indexing of each loan package to ensure all documentation has been obtained on both saleable and portfolio loans. Reviews each document to ensure compliance with federal, state, corporation, and investor guidelines. Missing documentation and corrections are obtained as necessary. Prepares and enters daily booking data for all loans closed, verifies loans booked for accuracy and completeness and organizes loans according to investor information such as portfolio loans vs. saleable loans. Verifies or validates that booking entries are correct based on a predetermined checklist. Any errors are corrected the same day the loan was booked on to the servicing system. Review of final docs for accuracy and compliance (i.e. recorded mortgage and final title policy) and update the internal document tracking system for audit. Ensure documents are being requested in a timely manner subject to the closing date of the loan. Ensures compliance with Bank policies and procedures by maintaining a high level of continuing education. Completes required training in a timely manner and performs job duties in a professional manner. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
