This role will work 3rd shift: 11pm-7:30am, Sunday - Thursday.

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing packaging equipment, supporting both mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting, ensuring machinery efficiency and participating in machinery development projects and initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform all Preventative Maintenance as required

* Interprets blueprints and schematics and basic understanding of electrical circuits and PLCs

* Troubleshoots, assesses and repairs most manufacturing/facilities issues, including packaging equipment changeovers in a timely manner without supervision

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

* Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use all standard tools of the trade including: hand tools, power tools, and machine shop tools.

* Able to read blueprints and shop drawings and the ability to generate rough sketches as needed

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

* Military experience a plus

* Basic mathematical and reading skills with willingness to handle paperwork

* Technical degree or equivalent preferred

* Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb and bend within a manufacturing environment

EXPERIENCE:

* 2+ years maintenance professional experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
* 2+ years in manufacturing experience
* Mechanical/electrical trade background, Journeyman or equivalent technical school background desired
* Have a working knowledge of CMMS (preferred)

SKILLS:

* Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use all standard tools of the trade including electrical test meters

* High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $29.80-$36.49*.Please note that thepayrangeprovidedis a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may varybased on factorsincluding but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
