  • Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's tertiary care and Level II Trauma Center, housing the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.

Responsibilities

  • The Risk Manager/RN Occupational Health is responsible for the execution of the Ardent Risk Management Program across their facility.
  • This position develops and supports facility level Risk Management activities and programs.
  • This position will manage the Risk Management needs across the facility, including Risk Management policy and procedure implementation, risk identification and mitigation, provide Risk Management related education, support and event investigations.
  • This position also establishes, manages, and evaluates comprehensive health services by providing Occupational Health nursing services to Ardent Health employees in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and policies/protocols under the direction of the Market Director/AVP Risk Management.
  • This position will support patient safety and quality activities as needed.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the applicable state
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and present programmatic materials in front of an audience greater than 20 people, including senior leadership at the facility and corporate levels.
  • Experience prioritizing, conducting, and documenting investigations

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • BSN is preferred
  • One year experience in direct, acute patient care preferred
  • Healthcare specific Risk Management and Occupational Health experience preferred
