About the Position

Job Overview :We are seeking a highly motivated Packaging Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. This role is focused on the retention and growth of large end-user accounts while leveraging distributor relationships to expand our market reach. You will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth through proactive account management, cold calling, and building strong partnerships with distributors. The role requires frequent travel to meet with key clients and distributors, ensuring we maintain our leadership position in the protective packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Account Retention & Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with large end users to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Sales Development: Drive new business by conducting cold calls, setting up meetings
  • Client Visits & Travel: Travel frequently to meet with existing clients, distributors, and prospective customers to maintain relationships and expand Pregis' presence.
  • Market & Product Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to better serve clients and identify growth opportunities.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales quotas by actively pursuing upselling, cross-selling, and new business opportunities within your assigned territory.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product management, and customer service to ensure the best solutions are provided to customers.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to management.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of sales or account management experience, preferably in packaging, manufacturing, or B2B environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Experience with cold calling and lead generation.
  • Ability to travel frequently as required (25-50%).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
