Desktop Architect

• Designs, plans, develops, and implements technology as it pertains to the NRHS Desktop environment.
• Collaborates with department leadership and Architects team to determine project priorities.
• Identifies software and hardware needs based on NRHS strategic objectives, identified through ongoing assessment.
• Routine maintenance.
• Resource for department staff and key connection point for contractors, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED. Associate degree in computer science, or other Technical degree is preferred.

Experience

• Three years of experience with Desktop Support.
• Experience with VMware Horizon, Virtual Center, Virtual Desktop (VDI), VDI connection points, physical desktops, master images, asset management tools, mobile device management (MDM), scripting, technical project management, preferred.

Licensure/Certification

• Two exams are required for this position and can be earned after hired in with a signed Employee Agreement Form.
• First exam is either or CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Operating System Exam.
• Second exam required is an Advanced Microsoft Operating System exam or Manager approved Advanced CompTIA exam.

Compensation

• $25.00-$40.42/hr based on previous work experience
