Overview

Join the HJF Team!

HJF is seeking a Computational Biologist who designs and executes computational and statistical analysis of transcriptomic and viral sequence data obtained from HIV-1 infection and vaccine studies to advance HIV-1 prevention and therapeutic applications.

This position will be in support of Animal Models & Viral Persistence Section of the Military HIV Research Program. This Section is led by Dr. Diane Bolton, a senior immunologist and virologist within MHRP. Specific research projects will investigate transcriptional signatures of immune responses and infected cells to inform HIV-1 vaccine and therapeutic strategies against viral infections. This includes assessment of virus-specific T cells and their relationship to antibody responses and virus control in the setting of infection and vaccination. Data sets are generated using cutting-edge immunology and flow cytometry measurements and next-generation gene expression modalities.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing, and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners.
