How You'll Perform the Role

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible and accountable for ensuring quality performance standards are upheld. Process audits and finished product performance testing will be key focus areas. Good organizational skills and accuracy are critical to ensure proper documentation and reporting. Must interact with all levels of staff.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
* Attend monthly safety meetings
* Monitor and ensure employees have a safe work environment and all plant safety and compliance rules are followed
* Reinforce PPE policies, requiring all employees and visitors to wear steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and other as required
* Ensure assigned work area is kept clean and organized
* Responsible for daily testing of products and recording data - monthly CPM reporting
* Conduct trials and support testing efforts associated with raw materials
* Lead all competitive testing efforts for the Retail Bag Business
* Notifying management of non-conforming material
* Extensive recordkeeping, documentation, and reporting
* Record and save data in company database as required
* Provide quality training as needed
* Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated per policy
* Other duties as assigned


What We Need From You

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Strong computer and math skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Excellent communication skills
* A good self-starter
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Detail oriented
* Experience with product testing, past quality experience
