Educational Specialist, Equity and Cultural Responsiveness

Willow Oaks Administrative Center

Description

Organizes curriculum revision projects and develops, disseminates, and/or implements professional development programs and materials related to Equity & Cultural Responsiveness (ECR) initiatives; advances culturally responsive pedagogy, diversity, equity, and inclusion literacy throughout the Division; provides inclusive program support to ensure program, policy, and practice compliance; serves as a resource for the region, school, and departmental staff.

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree.
  • Four (4) years of experience teaching in a related specialty, some of which may have been in a supervisory or administrative role.
    • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
  • Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, instructional goals, procedures, and practices related to public school education and educational best practices.
  • Knowledge of growth and development and learning theory in culturally responsive pedagogy and curriculum.
  • Skill in assessment and evaluation of students with special needs or in special programs.
  • Skill in teaching adult learners.
  • Ability to manage curriculum development, coaching, and related activities and provide a high level of instructional leadership for teachers and administrators.
  • Excellent human relations skills and ability to establish and maintain a successful cooperative working relationship with appropriate school communities, and school-based and central office staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
  • Endorsement in administration and supervision PreK-12.

Salary Range

$88,019 - $149,779
