Dev Sec Ops Engineer Senior

Description

The DevSecOps Engineer is a senior developer specializing in platform engineering, with a strong emphasis on managing infrastructure and Kubernetes

environments. This role requires a deep understanding of how to deploy infrastructure, platforms, and applications to the IL5/Il6 environments and expertise in developing and overseeing CI/CD pipelines

* Plans and leads major technology assignments at a senior level

* Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success

* Functions as a technical expert across the team and tasks

* May be the lead for others and leads by example amongst peers

Foundational Skills

* 7-10 years of experience and a relevant bachelors degree required

* Eager to learn new technologies and gain expert-level understanding of the latest approaches (auto-scaled cloud-based systems, serverless

architectures, cloud/on-premises hybrid solutions)

* Experience in Technical Customer Service, Customer Management, and experience in escalations

* Strong 'security first' mindset

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Ability to work on high performing teams supporting multiple projects and personnel

* A deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies

* Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments

Required Skills

* Extensive experience with developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications

* Experience with cloud systems and architectures (Amazon Web Services)

* Extensive IaC/CaC experience using Terraform

* Extensive experience debugging and configuring microservices

* Extensive experience using source control management tools such as git, subversion, or mercurial

* Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Kustomize, and Docker

* Experience using Helm

* Experience configuring and using GitLab CI/CD pipelines written in Python and Bash for leverage by multiple product and development teams

* Strong Bash and Python coding skills

* Secret clearance

* 3 years in IA technology or a related area

Preferred

* Possess and apply hands on IL6 experience

* Platform One experience

* Possess an active approved Baseline Certifications for a Technical Level II position such as: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND and

SSCP

* Possess an active USAF CAC

* Experience with Istio or other service mesh technologies

* Creating custom Grafana dashboards, monitoring, and alerting

* Creating and maintaining technical implementation documentation
