Moog Construction is looking for a Design Engineer. You will work on-site in Buffalo, New York.

You will support the development of electromechanical and mechanical products for the Moog Construction group. This includes clean-sheet and re-use design work using a range of design tools and Unigraphics model and drawing creation.

With an understanding of geometric design and tolerancing you will work with manufacturers, assembly and test personnel, and Moog customers to develop products to support Moog Construction EV customers. You will interface with Moog personnel across the globe, and therefore strong leadership and interpersonal skills are critical. You will support new mechanical design and redesign activities, and will support production and development programs for Moog Construction.

To be considered for a Design Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering; related degree may be considered; prior relevant experience will be considered.
  • Relevant experience: Finite Element Analysis, data trending, effective presentation delivery, tolerance stackup analysis, 3D modeling, creation of component and assembly drawings.
  • Travel: Domestic and International Travel will be required

As a Design Engineer, some of the production support activities that will support:

  • Maintain and update assembly and test (A&T) instructions
  • Provide direction to A&T personnel
  • Disposition nonconforming products
  • Identify and develop new fixtures and tooling
  • Ensure product integrity
  • Monitor first pass yield data and implement improvements where needed to meet Moog Construction group goals
  • Work with production personnel to implement new or revised processes
  • Support the development of new test equipment with internal teams and external vendors
  • Implement design changes to support product improvements or as part of corrective action
  • Provide technical support to Moog suppliers, and participate in supply chain technical issues affecting delivery or product quality
  • Oversee activities related to cross-site production transfers
  • Support production related meetings such as Material Review Board, daily production status, Change Review Board

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $65,000.00-$85,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
