Work Schedule: Full-time, Various Shifts

Compensation: $22.57 - $22.57 per hour

Skookum is seeking a reliable and helpful Janitor with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Restroom Cleaning - sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls & doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floor. Follow cross-contamination procedures.

  • Office Cleaning - sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Spot entry doors.

  • Clean halls and high traffic areas - sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, and clean carpet according to schedule.

  • Clean entrances and exits - sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.

  • Trash - empty trash in; lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker daily. Office areas trash according to schedule.

  • Restock supplies - restock supplies daily.

  • Dusting - dusting in lunch/coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and dust free areas only.

  • Clean stairwells - sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails according to schedule.

  • Clean showers - clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross contamination procedures.

  • Maintain Janitor Closets - clean and organize. Clean and rinse all equipment before storing.

  • Clean ice machines.

  • Change light bulbs and clean lamp receptacles.

  • Change privacy and shower curtains.

  • Wet/Dry mopping - wet/dry mop each floor according to schedule.

  • Sweeping - sweep each area according to schedule.

  • Communicating with customers - always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers.

  • Must be able to work up to a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications:

  • 6 months of facilities maintenance experience is preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.

  • Must be able to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

This position is represented by the United Steel Workers, Local 9241.
