Description

The Benefits Analyst reports to the Manager, Benefits. The Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Thresholds employee group benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, employer paid benefits, as well as the Employee Wellness program. The Analyst provides excellent customer service, investigates new benefits programs, improves existing benefits programs, and supervises and monitors benefits administration. The Analyst provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefits programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Serves as the primary contact for all employees regarding benefit plan inquires.
  • Manages Thresholds benefits plans and programs in accordance with plan documents, insurance contracts, vendor agreements and applicable federal, state and local regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring maintenance of data entry of employee benefit elections and dependent information.
  • Collaborates with Talent Management leadership and third party vendors in the development, communication and presentation of benefit plans.
  • Counsels new employees regarding benefit programs and conducts new staff orientation (NSO).
  • Responsible for Family and Medical Leave process including tracking and administration.
  • Provides counsel to management and staff regarding federal law, and policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles monthly benefits invoices according to established procedures including the completion of the invoice checklist and submission of documentation to
  • Accounts Payable. Resolves all employee related billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the annual benefits renewal process, including the coordination of Thresholds annual open enrollment process, communication, and vendor data feeds.
  • Manages the Employee Wellness program.
  • Manages all benefits related audits.
  • Manages the annual year-end processes for benefits, compensation, and payroll.
  • Other duties as assigned.


    EDUCATION



    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.


    Experience



    • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant benefits experience.
    • Knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations and legislation.
    • Knowledge of technical aspects of benefits administration (e.g., discrimination testing and government reporting obligations).
    • Demonstrated ability to assist in establishing and executing a benefits strategy.


    Skills/Certifications



    • PHR or CEBS preferred
