Join our dynamic team as a DevOps Engineer - Lead, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our internal platform that handles batch processing of customer data. As an extension of the development team, you will be instrumental in maintaining a "green" mindset, focusing on site reliability engineering (SRE) practices. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to a high-impact project with a mid-February deadline.

*Hybrid in McLean, VA

We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55 - $60 / hr. w2



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated failover and recovery processes using homegrown applications.
  • Support the platform from a reliability perspective, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the development team to run tests and mitigate issues.
  • Contribute to the codebase in Go, Scala, and Python.
  • Implement and manage observability tools to monitor system performance.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of operational processes and practices.



Experience Requirements:

Key Technical Skills:



  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Golang
  • Python
  • Scala
  • Docker
  • Observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Observe)
  • Automated testing (nice to have)



Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in AWS or SRE practices (optional but beneficial)
